How do I connect to a Zoom meeting?
Chime allows meetings to be connected to Zoom meetings so that both Chime and Zoom participants can collaborate in one meeting. There are two ways to connect to a zoom meeting:
Using a “Smart URL”
If you create a meeting whose ID is zoom-<zoom-meeting-number> the meeting you join will automatically join a Zoom meeting if one is available. This works especially well when you’re sending out invites to people who don’t have Zoom but wish to join Zoom meetings.
Using the “Add Conference” button
Clicking the Add Conference button in Chime presents a panel that allows adding a Zoom conference directly into a running Chime Meeting:
Select Type “Zoom” and enter the Meeting ID for the Zoom Meeting you wish to connect to. Click connect and the Zoom meeting will be added as a participant in the Chime Meeting.
NOTE: While screen sharing from Chime will be sent across to Zoom, document sharing will not at this time. This will be addressed in a future release.
